Brand Story & Design Rationale

Located at the hillside of Lotus Bud Mountain, Barden Coffee is a local coffee brand in Yunlin, Taiwan since 1984. 
To strengthen the tight connection between Barden Coffee and its origination, the redesign of the logo transformed the contour line of the lily bud mountain, where the brand is located in, into the foamy latte art to show the close connection of the premium coffee and its origination.


品牌故事＆設計理念

始於1984年，巴登咖啡為位於台灣雲林縣古坑鄉的咖啡品牌。

在新的品牌識別設計中，巴登咖啡的原料生產地荷苞山的山丘等高線與咖啡拉花藝術結合，將一杯好咖啡以及其好山好水的原料生產地的緊密關係呈現給消費者。 
















New possibility of sustainability in packaging

The premium box design for Barden Coffee intends to make the packaging design more than a package but also a simple DIY cafe decoration set for the consumers. 

Given that most of the food premium boxes are thrown away if there is no need for the container function of the packaging, the redesign of the premium box hopes to provide another possibility of the packaging sustainability.







包裝設計的永續利用

巴登咖啡的禮盒設計除了擁有食品收納的功能外，同時也是一組簡單的咖啡廳氛圍佈置道具組，增加包裝的趣味性以及再利用的另外一種可能性。

鑒於食品禮盒在內容物食用完畢後若不符合消費者的收納需求則會被丟棄，因此希望透過巴登咖啡禮盒的再設計去嘗試建立在永續性上的美觀包裝設計。







Coffee and dessert

The coffee packs on every layer of the premium box are designed to be a set of four pieces illustration puzzle. Consumers can collect the illustration after they finish drinking the coffee and combine them into complete series of dessert plates illustration.








咖啡佐甜點

禮盒內部的每一層的耳掛包裝設計成一組四片的拼圖形式，消費者可以將印在四種不同風味上的插畫組合成一幅完整的以巴登咖啡提供的甜點為主題的拼盤插畫。

紙盒底內部底部的插畫則是以巴登咖啡所在地附近的風景為主題，總共有四幅小型畫框讓消費者欣賞和包山的特色及美景。消費者可以將這些印有插畫的包裝留存，將家裡佈置成休閒的咖啡廳空間氛圍。



















Coffee and scenery

The illustrations on the inner side of the compartment boxes are the scenery around Barden Coffee. Consumers can decorate their personal space into a simple mini cafe setting with the illustrations on the packaging design.




咖啡佐美景

紙盒底內部底部的插畫則是以巴登咖啡所在地附近的風景為主題，總共有四幅小型畫框讓消費者欣賞和包山的特色及美景。消費者可以將這些印有插畫的包裝留存，將家裡佈置成休閒的咖啡廳空間氛圍。
